Sabaton & Amon Amarth – Clifton Park NY

Let the Sweedish flag fly! It was a night of Sweedish Metal at it’s finest at The Upsate Concert Hall when Amon Amarth and Sabaton invaded Clifton Park NY.

Amon Amarth with their viking themed melodic Death Metal – brings a shear force to the stage, that is not to be reckoned with! They hit the stage with “Deceiver Of The Gods.” From the first note to the end of their encore, Amon Amarth had delivered a set that had the crowd jumping, headbanging, chanting with fist raised and energy that was to the roof! Their tales of Nortic Viking mythology took you on a metal journey. Paired with their tight performance, it was a show you will remember for years to come.

Amon Amarth is out in support of their ninth studio album, “Deceiver Of The Gods” via Metal Blades Records.

Opening the show – Sabaton. Skeletonwitch was also on the bill but due to unforeseen circumstances, they had to cancel their performance.

We were off to war with Sweedish Metalers – Sabaton! Their lyrics are themed around historical battles and war events while marching off musically in an upbeat tempo. Since Skeletonwitch was a no show, Sabaton was able to extend their set which gave the Sabaton crowd a welcome surprise! One fan in the front was prepared, flying different flags during each song, representing the country that particular song was about. Lead vocalist, Joakim Brodén was impressed that he couldn’t stump the gentleman as he remarked that some song they haven’t played this tour and that their setlist had been created only 2hrs before they stepped on stage. They came out hitting hard and raised an enormous amount of energy, that created a positive vibe and atmosphere that lasted their entire set!
