Upstate Concert Hall was packed wall to wall when the infamous Dropkick Murphy’s were in town for the Monday night sold-out show. Ringing in March, St Patrick’s Day came early as the American Celtic Punk band brought their “A” game to the party! And what a voltaic crowd to help the Dropkick Murphy’s kick off the first night of their headlining tour – The Celtic Punk Invasion Tour, featuring Dropkick Murphy’s, The Mahones, Blood or Whiskey and Bryan MvPherson!

Opening the show was Bryan McPherson. He warmed up the crowd early with his acoustic Boston Irish tunes. Next was Dublin’s own, Blood or Whiskey who brought the energy to the next level. In direct support to The Dropkick Murphy’s was the pioneers of the Irish Punk scene, The Mahones!! They came out and lit up the stage! The Mahones are very captivating and worth the ticket price alone. But it didn’t stop there….

Hailing from Quincy, Massachusetts, The Dropkick Murphy’s raise the glass packed full of great fun to bring forth a high energetic show that will raise the energy in any atmosphere to octane levels. Engaging the audience from the get-go, the crowd’s high expectations were not only met, but surpassed as their set list consisted of a mixture of old and new songs. They even incorporated 3 fan pick mid set. They finished strong with “Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya” and “I’m Shipping Up to Boston” before returning on stage for a four song encore!
